As Solid Handling Process Engineer, you will join our Department TEAM which deals, among others, with the process design of Utilities and Offsite units, in the business line Energy Carriers, conducting the following activities:Solid Handling Process Engineer is a professional engineer who designs, develops, and optimizes the systems and equipment that handle solid materials in various industrial sectors including fertilizers, petrochemicals, refinery, power plants, waste recovery/recycling management. Solid materials can include bulk powders, granules, pellets, flakes, crystals, and/or any other form of solid matter including packaging that needs to be transported, stored, processed, or disposed of. The responsibilities of a Solid Handling Process Engineer are to: Ensure that the handling system meets the contractual requirements and the required performance.Ensure that the handling system complies with the applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices.Ensure that the handling system is safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.Ensure that the handling system is aligned with the client's expectations and satisfaction.This involves the following tasks:Analyzing the properties and characteristics of the solid materials, such as particle size, shape, density, flowability, moisture content, abrasiveness, corrosiveness, etc.Selecting the appropriate handling methods and equipment, such as conveyors, feeders, hoppers, silos, bins, valves, mixers, separators, filters, dryers, etc. Designing the configuration of the handling system, considering the process flow, space limitations, safety, environmental, and operational aspects.Performing calculations to estimate the capacity, efficiency, reliability, and cost of the handling system.Preparing technical documents, such as functional specifications, flow sheet, equipment summary, material balance, utilities consumptions list, effluent list, electrical load list, report (process studies).Coordinating with project team including other technical disciplines, such as process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control, to ensure the integration and compatibility of the handling system with the overall process plant.QUALIFICATION : Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Manufacturing EngineeringKNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: good, both written and spokenLABOUR RELATIONSHIP: Permanent ContractYEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Solid Handling Process Engineer should have knowledge of basic process design principles with at least 3 / 5 / 10 years of experience in the field of bulk solid mechanical handling and/or bulk solid pneumatic handling.IT SKILLS: Candidate shall be competent in Microsoft office and AutoCAD to produce schematic flow sheet and layout single line arrangements for the purpose of system definition in conjunction with the project team and other technical departments.LOCATION: Milano.CONTRACT TYPE: permanent, salary package commensurate with the level of experienceAvailability for worldwilde mobilityPriority is given to the inclusion of protected categories.Facciamo parte di Gi Group Holding (www.gigroupholding.it) la prima multinazionale italiana del lavoro e una tra le principali realtà che offrono servizi e consulenza HR a livello globale.
