SOLUTION TRAIN ENGINEER

Job Description Summary.
The Solution Train Engineer (STE) is a key leadership role responsible for coordination and communication across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within the same Large Solution Train.
A solid understanding of SAFe and Agile methodology as well as program management experience is required.
This position is responsible for overseeing large scale and/or enterprise-wide business and technical solution development.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities Manage and optimize the flow of business value through the Solution Train using various tools, such as the Solution Kanban and other information radiators.
Tracks the impediments, risks and dependencies across multiple Value Streams and operating companies.
Engaging Solution Architecture, Solution Ownership and Senior Leadership as needed.
Work with Portfolio, Product and Solution Management, and Senior Leadership to help ensure strategy and executive alignment.
Facilitate Solution/Core Team discussions to define what capabilities can be demonstrated and work with appropriate Value Stream Leadership, to coordinate.
Develop Cross Value Stream Best Practices and ensure they are communicated and followed to deliver the Solution Identify Senior Officer reporting requirements and create a communication plan to meet their needs (i.
.
frequency, audience etc.) Deliver Solution updates to Executive leadership across the Enterprise.
Organize and facilitate RTE/Cross-Solution Syncs and/or any other required cross collaboration needed to successfully deliver the Solution.
Responsible for the coordination of Solution/Core Team that will create and maintain the overall Solution schedule and delivery.

Minimum Qualifications.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or business administration and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology, Agile leadership roles (e.
.
Release Train Engineer, Product Manager, Agile Coach), or business environment.
A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements.
