SR. BUSINESS ANALYST (PREDICTIVE MODELING & PYTHON)

Description About this role.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be a business partner in this exciting, world class organization and support Gartner's continued growth and success.
This position will perform a key role in providing financial business analysis, predictive insights, decision support and thought leadership.
This includes developing predictive insights and prescriptive analyses, generating internal management reports, monitoring key performance indicators, and driving the scaling and automation of financial processes and reports.

What you’ll do.
Collaborate with Conference Global Finance and Operations team to define and execute on reporting needs.
Develop a strong understanding of the Conference Finance and Operation data and how it can be leveraged in reports.
Create predictive modeling to assess future performance.
Perform ad-hoc analysis to support finance and business requests.
Working knowledge of data analytics software such as Power BI, Python/R etc.
as well as passion for Automation of processes/reporting using these tools Create new Power BI reports in conjunction with the warehouse data acquisition.
Assist with design, development and testing of enhancements to existing or new reports and dashboards.
Assume responsibility for daily and monthly reporting jobs.
Develop a proficiency in the retrieval and manipulation of data from spreadsheets, the data warehouse and database environments.
What you’ll need.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics is required; Masters or Advanced degree is a plus.
4+ years of business experience with at least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Power BI development Programming language experience like Python/R Advanced skills in Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and Access Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization.
Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations.
Hands-on experience with one or more BI platforms (Oracle BI tools preferred) Who you are.

Results-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects and meet deadlines while focusing on the quality of work delivered.
