rg/facility/advanced-optical-microscopy/ focuses on technologies for basic and advanced research in linear and non-linear fluorescence microscopy.
The staff has developed different imaging in vitro and in vivo protocols for confocal and intravital 2P microscopy analyses aimed at studying in the contexts of immune system-related diseases.
HAOUM is staffed by personnel with both biophysical and biological backgrounds with extensive experties in preclinical research studies in experimental model development.
HAOUM provides a wide range of services in the field of fluorescence microscopy, including live cell imaging, confocal and wide-field microscopy, super-resolution (STED) and single-molecule detection (SMD), multiphoton microscopy, FLIM/FCS, Laser Dissection Microscopy (LMD) and non-invasive in vivo optical imaging.
The recent acquisition of the Mass Cytometry Imaging system Hyperion allows HAOUM to enhance the multiplexed analysis on experimental and clinical samples.
A high-capacity network of digital workstations allows data processing and image analysis, including 3D rendering and deconvolution techniques.
The imaging staff is constantly involved in a variety of activities, including scientific collaborations to support researchers in their studies, organization of theoretical and practical courses on microscopy.
The HAOUM is hiring a Research Technologist with a strong interest in immunology field and in Imaging technologies for the development of cellular protocols and of animal models related to the study of immune system-related diseases.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities The candidate will be involved in the preparation and analysis by Confocal Microscopy of tissue and cellular samples.
A predominant task will be learning in the preparation of animal models intended for IVM analysis by multiphoton microscopy.
The candidate will be involved in supporting analysis of multiplexed histochemistry studies in experimental and clinical tissue samples using Mass Cytometry Imaging system Hyperion.
Candidate will be required to plan and carry out experiments independently and assisting students in the proper use of Imaging systems to foster the research outputs in the Institute.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory) Biotechnology or biological sciences and Doctoral degree.
Candidate will need a background in cell biology and general molecular biology.
Candidate must have knowledge of fluorescence microscopy systems.
Candidate must have previous experience in performing histochemistry protocols.
Previous experience in preclinical animal models would be a plus needed.
