My work regards the implementation of a new generation of dynamic smart windows capable of selectively controlling the intensity of solar radiation. Most relevant technical achievements refer the fabrication of a new class of stable large-area electrochromic devices, new sol-gel ceramic pastes and the development of a polymer gel electrolyte.

My research focused on the realization, stabilization and characterization of a device based on silk fibroin, one of the two protein biomaterials produced by the Bombyx Mori silkworm. The obtained biomaterial has been characterized to SEM, FT-IR and to the DSC to study its chemical-physical properties.

My research focused on the positioning of a Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer (PDPA system) laser system for the study of combustion inside the combustion chamber by analysing the particles inside it and the emissions in atmosphere. Therefore, metal supports and sliding guides have been made for correct positioning and operation.

DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF A COMPOSITE LAMINATE:
The main objective was to perform and determine the mechanical strength for a composite laminate under normal stress in both directions, shear stress and a bending moment. The analysis was carried out both in presence and absence of thermal load.

DETERMINATION OF THE THICKNESS OF THE THERMAL INSULATION LAYERS OF A FIRE DOOR:
Sizing of the thickness of a thermal insulating layer for a fire shield door of total thickness of 35 mm. It was studied in two cases, one with only rock wool, and the other case with rock wool and gypsum.

It was realized the transmission system for a drive crusher. It was conduct a structural analysis for gear wheels sizing, for the drive shaft and the bearings under specific loads.

I am a Materials and Nanotechnologies with a master in
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR MEDICAL DEVICE
COMPANIES. Right now I’m working at the Italian
Institute of Technology in Lecce within the framework of
an ambitious project aimed at the development of
advanced glazing technologies for energy efficient
buildings. I am curious by nature, strongly motivated and
very efficient.
