Work Location.
Sea Watch Resort How Will You Shine? As a valued and successful Assistant General Manager, you will be required to.
Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to meet and maintain a thorough knowledge of all of rooms, Food and Beverage and all other departments’ Standard Operating Procedures Report daily to the General Manager and regularly attend staff meetings to stay informed of resorts business Continually communicates with the property’s General Manager regarding the operation, forecasts, revenues, special events, exceptions or changes to budget and any pertinent information that impacts the financial success of the properties Ensure compliance with all VMB Resorts Company policies and procedures.
Maintain procedures for the security of all resort equipment.
Monitor budget to ensure efficient operation and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations.
Assist in purchasing and the development of purchasing standards for all departments as requested.
Implement and maintain local and corporate sales and marketing plans.
Respond to all guest-related guest correspondences.
Conduct or assist in scheduling training.
Assist in conducting departmental meetings as requested.
Conduct performance appraisals as requested.
Develop short-term and long-term financial operating plans.
Assist in maintaining inventory control (room’s products, beverages, glass, china, silver, linen, and assist in approving orders) Analyze property position requirements to hire and retain adequate staff in conjunction with the Human Resources Department Develop, implement, and maintain continuity with established timelines across all departments Meet or exceed budgeted and profit margins while managing within budgeted guidelines Manage internal policies and procedures to ensure the entire team is treated fairly Resolve team grievances fairly and timely and ensure teams fully understand performance standards, review performance against standards throughout the year, and reward individual and team success  Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor to include cross-training.
