Run Grinding machinery while maintaining a controlled process utilizing control methods.
Must have the ability to detect mechanical and quality failures and take corrective action.
Perform advanced preventative maintenance on the machines, per work instructions.
Provide guidance/trouble shoot machinery and blade/material issues impacting production.
Must be an expert in visual inspection techniques and have in-depth knowledge of all inspection devices/tools in the Grinding department.
Be able to run, set up all machinery proficiently in the Blade Grinding department.
Cover/Run machinery while teammates are on break or as necessary.
Provide leadership to all teammates in the below manner but not limited to.
Assist in Administrative requirements as needed; Monitor low inventory levels on the floor; Adjust staffing as necessary when Area Team Leader/Supervisor/Superintendent is not present; Prepare all necessary daily paperwork, including housekeeping and safety tasks; When necessary, ship finished goods produced by assigned unit(s).
Systematically transact the information and prepare for removal by the warehouse or internal departments’ where applicable; and Provide conflict resolution for teammates by being the first layer of this process.
Document and provide Area Team Lead/Supervisor/Superintendent as needed.
Enter work orders into the Dispatch system as needed.
Monitor weekly schedule requirements, daily reporting as needed.
Provide training and assessments to teammates as needed.
Provide training and coaching to new teammates.
Monitor production units, staffing issues, proactive around productivity and scrap requirements, downtime, and processing issues.
Provide and maintain a high level of respect for yourself and all other teammates.
Work with multiple groups such as but not limited to Engineering, Central Stores, Mechanics, etc.
Move material using pallet jack or coil carts to necessary locations within the Grinding department.
All other duties as assigned by the Area Team Lead, Shift Supervisor and or Blade Superintendent.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have Master Blade Maker experience (Blade Grinding Department).
SAP and Microsoft applications experience preferred.
Salary Range.
LG9 - Starting from $ per hour, based on experience.
