If the answer is “Yes” then ABACO may be the right company for your next career move! We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our exciting and expanding UK team. This is an opportunity to work in Digital Agriculture in both the Public and Private sectors, both here in the UK and wider International assignments. The role is client facing and would involve managing the project delivery using our Italian and UK development teams. Public Sector and International experience is a preference, though not essential. Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the role include: Plan and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget agreed with the client. Designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the process. Attend client meetings to understanding and discuss the project goals and timeframes and deployment of the system. Manage requirements capture and GAP analysis sessions with clients. Monitor delivery in respect to the client contract and manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project budgets as appropriate. Build relationships with clients and to act as the conduit between clients and Abaco teams. Build and maintain strong relationships internally working closely with the development teams so they fully understand the clients’ requirements and provide an efficient and high-quality service. Work closely with Account Managers and Account Directors during the sales process to ensure the business can deliver to the client’s needs. To be an ambassador for the company at all times internally and externally. The above outlined responsibilities are not exhaustive, and you may be required to carry out other tasks that are appropriate to your role in addition. The successful candidate should have: Strong and clear interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. Personable but persuasive with a keen attention to detail. An understanding of project financials, profit and loss, and the ability to create and adhere to a project budget. Well Developed scheduling and organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks with the ability to utilise multiple sources of information and integrate the data into concise and well-reasoned output. Ability to plan, to delegate tasks to the appropriate team member and to retain control of the project. Aptitude to delivering attractive presentations. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts that may arise during the delivery of the project. Ability to work under pressure, being self-motivated with a results driven attitude. A good understanding of software and a good knowledge of Microsoft packages – Office and planning tools. A wiliness to travel both in the UK and Internationally. Our UK Office is located in Reading. Candidates who are not local to Reading will also be considered.
