PROJECT CONTRACT & PROCUREMENT LEAD - SUBWAYS, LIGHT RAILWAYS, TRAMWAYS

Main activities The selected candidate will collaborate within the Mobility Systems Department, reporting to the Line Manager, mainly dealing with the procurement and contract management activities and the following specialized responsibilities, applied to urban transport systems (subways, light railways, tramways) and railways.
Developing and implementing procurement plans and strategies to support business needs; Defining category procurement strategy aligned with overall strategy; Working with key suppliers to improve on time delivery and quality statistics to target levels; Full oversight on tender shaping strategies and procurement options, developing actionable and replicable play books for consistency across corporation; Proactively engaging and collaborating with business stakeholders, in order to solve operational issues and problems related to procurement operations; Escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team/function to specialistic department; Establishing and agreeing key performance targets and financial budgets in the short and long term in order to optimize business performance and maintain the effectiveness of payments and procurement with set objectives.
Requirements Must have Professional experience of at least 10 years in Engineering Companies or Design Firms, for activities similar to those described above within subways, light railways, tramways projects; Master's Degree (MSc.) in Economics, Business Administration; Full proficiency in English language, with excellent ability to read technical texts and a good ability in writing and speaking.
Knowledge of other languages will be considered as a plus; Relation skills, attitude to teamwork, dynamism, autonomy, initiative and tenacity; Good knowlege of international technical codes and regulations; Availability for short/long trips abroad.
